CLIENT CASE STUDY · DIXONS ACADEMY TRUST

Building shared services improvement capability.

A practical example of Newgate working alongside teams to improve how work gets done.

THE CHALLENGE

Understanding the work.

Dixons Academy Trust wanted shared services to be as effective and efficient as possible, with processes designed around the needs of its schools, staff and pupils.

OUR APPROACH

Making change practical.

Newgate mapped approximately four cross-functional, 18 primary and 20 secondary processes, creating a documented process library. The team then established improvement governance and coached A3, root cause analysis and target-condition problem solving.

IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

248 improvement opportunities identified.

The process review gave Dixons a clear view of 248 opportunities to simplify work, improve flow and prioritise the next wave of improvement.
